Broken Button, Support says "you are pressing it to fast"

Hi yall! just wanted some input, am i pressing this to fast or wrong in any way? Support says i am. I'm pretty sure this is a faulty switch as none of my other smart plugs behave like this... The click is very dull, like something is stuck in there. was clickier to begin with, but still would not turn on/off every time i clicked it.
