Hi,
just installed the 1 gang EU wall switch. Set the WIFI network and password. Was able to access the Tasmota webpage of this switch, but after a couple of minutes the wall switched seemed to have lost connection to the WIFI network. Saw the Tasmota hotspot up again so redid the whole thing... Same result after a couple of minutes no more connection and the Tasmota hotspot was up again.
Repeated this a couple of times. Lastly after I put in the network name and password I decided to restart the wall switch through the Tasmota webpage (restart button on the webpage). After that no more loss of network info and connection to the network... so far. System is up for about half an hour.
Also noticed that when there is no network connection it seems like the wall switch itself isn't working that well/hardly.
Anyone familiar with this? Is it a bug?
Hi, I purchased 4 pieces of the 2-gang EU switches (Model: DS-101) and I experience the same issue. I got it resolved by visiting https://www.bestessayservicereviews.com/ a few days back.
I've not used domoticz, however, if it supports MQTT then ESPHome can use MQTT too.
I have found ESPHOME to be more stable than tasmota, and have converted all my devices to this now. Not a single issue for weeks.
I think so too, based on our both experiences.
I'll try to upgrade mine too. I get some ramdom reboots when the switch is turned on (not when it's turn off). so hopefully a new flash and upgrade will solve that issue.
Thanks for the update. Good to know that in 9.2.0 the bug seems to be fixed.
Question though... Why did you do all the soldering. doesn't just a over the air update work?
Hi, I managed to upgrade from the factory Tasmota 8.5.0 to newer 9.2.0 by soldering wires (pins are nicely marked), USB-TTL adapter and Tasmotizer. With the newer version from ota.tasmota.com it saved the WiFi settings without issues or tricks, and connected to my network straight away.
I took another new switch from the box (same model Athom SW1132EU) to try your trick. It seems to work indeed. I entered the WiFi SSDI and Password, saved it, waited until it came back with its own AP and 192.168.4.1 and then restarted it. Miraculously after that it saved the WiFi settings. It didn't do when you just hit save configuration...looks like a bug.
Hi,
after filling out the network and password the Tasmota device rebooted. Immediately after the reboot I did a restart and after the restart the info was saved.
After that I rebooted a couple of times and and the info was still ther, so I looke liked it as saved after the restart after the reboot.
Keep me posted if a firmware upgrade does the trick (for you) and which firmware version you upgraded to.
Hopefully Athom can shre some light on this matter
Hi, I purchased 4 pieces of the 2-gang EU switches (Model: DS-101) and I experience the same issue. No matter if I click save configuration, or restart, the settings are simply not saved. The switch reboots and the default tasmota_xxxx AP appears. It does not connect to my router, I tried the following without success: - Disabled 5G on the router and left only 2.4G enabled = Athom doesn't connect - Tried 2.4G channel 1, 6 and 11 but no change = Athom doesn't connect
- Tried open network without WPA password = Athom doesn't connect
- Tried with a 2.4G hotspot on my Windows laptop = Athom doesn't connect
Seems like the configuration is simply not saved upon reboot. Final thing I will try is connect USB serial adapter and try to flash a newer Tasmota firmware on it. If that fails too then sorry to say but this product is garbage.
